I’ve long had a personal mission to support young people in learning how to respond to first aid emergencies, particularly those linked to knife crime, drug or alcohol use, and acid attacks. My military background exposed me to a great deal of trauma, and sadly, the incidents now facing many young people on our streets bear unsettling similarities.

I was invited to work with Norfolk County Council’s Youth Justice Service to deliver some training, and from that, the concept of Street First Aid was born. I’ve since formalised the initiative as a Social Enterprise, which I officially registered on 30th March 2025. Its mission is to reach those young people who might otherwise miss out on life-saving skills due to cost or personal circumstances.
